Anwar-i-Qadeer is engaged in the private practice of law in Houston, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Law degree from Punjab University Law College, his LLM from the University of Virginia Law School and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. In 1982 he joined the law firm of Dickerson, Hamel, Early & Pennock and practiced there for seven years before joining the firm of Walsh, Squires & Tompkins. In 1991, he established his own law firm, Qadeer Law.
Anwar’s legal practice focuses on business, commercial and real estate law with substantial emphasis on corporate and business transactional matters.
He has published a book on the legal aspects of the Kashmir problem, and his articles have also been published in the Houston Journal of International Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and served a two-year term as a member of the Ethics Committee of the City of Houston.
