Chester Pitts was raised in Carson, California. He attended the California Academy of Mathematics and Science. Chester then attended San Diego State University and earned a degree in Public Administration. While attending San Diego State, Chester realized his skills for the football field. In 2002, he was drafted by the Houston Texans in the second round. During his time with the Texans he started every game he ever played with the franchise. He was the first player in the team’s history to accomplish this. After eight amazing seasons with the Texans, Chester was signed as a free agent by the Seattle Seahawks for the 2010 season.
Over the years, Chester has actively demonstrated his leadership role in several organizations that assist youth, including the Texas Children’s Hospital, the Shriners Hospitals for Children and the YMCA of Greater Houston. Chester has served as a key player for the Houston community and puts his heart into every step in creating a brighter future for these children. To further his passion for helping others in his community, he created The Chester Pitts Charitable Foundation.
Chester is an executive consultant at ZT Wealth, a radio and television sports analyst, and a Houston Texans Ambassador. He also serves on the boards of Houston Crime Stoppers, the Altus Foundation and the Houston Symphony.
